Introduction

Taipei Tech was found at its present location in central Taipei in 1912, making it one of the first higher educational institutions in Taiwan. Though it then consisted of only three departments.

At the center of Taipei, the most prosperous city in Taiwan, there is a spot covered by green. This is National Taipei University of Technology, also known as Taipei Tech. The campus is located at Zhongxiao Xinsheng MRT Station. Many attractions like Huashan1914-Creative Park, Syntrend and Guang Hua Digital Plaza are right at the corner. A convenient transportation system enables elites to gather in Taipei Tech. Under the influence of the Technology and Cultural and Creative Industry, Taipei Tech has cultivated numerous influential talents in many different fields.

Monthly Stipend NT 6,000 (first year only)

PhD :

Full Tuition Fee Subsidy (four years max.)
Monthly Stipend NT 12,000 (four years max.)

Requirement

Second year master’s students may apply for tuition fee subsidy with first year academic performance.

From the 2nd year onward, PhD students’ academic performance and the number of published journals (doctoral students only) in the previous year will be the criteria for scholarship renewal.

Article VII Application Period
A.The admission of international graduate studentshas Spring intake and Fall intake, for the students of Spring intake must renew the scholarship in every January, for the students of Fall intake must renew the scholarship in every July.
B.Current international graduate students may apply for (the renewal of) a one-year International Graduate Student Scholarship int he following year prior to the expiration of the current scholarship.The period of application differs annually and application shall be completed before the announced deadline.
C.For the student who cannot renew the scholarship on time, can apply for the scholarship at next semester. The period of this kind of students is only one semester.1)For Spring intake students who cannot renew the scholarship on time, can
5apply the renew on July. After the approval by the NTUT Scholarship Commission,the period will be September to next February.2)For Fall intake students who cannot renew the scholarship on time, can apply the renew on January. After the approval by the NTUT Scholarship Commission,the period will be March to August

(一)大學部：

前一學期平均成績系所名次百分比前25%，為大學部第一級距。
前一學期平均成績系所名次百分比25.01%-50%，為大學部第二級距。
前一學期平均成績系所名次百分比50.01%-75%，為大學部第三級距。

(二)研究所：

前一學期平均成績系所名次百分比前25%，為研究所第一級距。
前一學期平均成績系所名次百分比25.01%-50%，為研究所第二級距。
前一學期平均成績系所名次百分比50.01%-75%，為研究所第三級距。

Requirement

就讀滿一學期，前一學期平均成績系所名次百分比前75%，操行達八十分以上，且未受學校申誡以上處分者。
碩士班或博士班生，在撰寫碩士或博士論文期間無上學期成績者，但應於受理申請期限內，提出指導教授推薦書及論文撰寫計畫（至少須包括研究動機與目的、研究架構與設計、資料蒐集來源、論文大綱、參考書目等，論文計畫不含參考書目需至少五千字以上）。
擔任本校社團負責人者，得以擔任社團負責人之社團活動成果報告提出申請；此類申請以一次為限。

New students who wish to apply for Taipei Tech Chinese-Proficient Scholarship (Hua Yu Scholarship) must submit one of the following certificates before semester begins :

TOCFL B Level or above
Chinese Subject - Level C or above in SPM Test
Chinese Subject - Level C or above in UEC Test

Scholarship can be renewed based on the academic performance in previous year. Please check the Chinese-Proficient Scholarship (Hua Yu Scholarship) Regulation for reference.

Apply

A.New students: They are evaluated for the award during their admission application process and rewards start when the start attending the school.
B.Current students should submit their applications to the Office of International Affairs during the published period in every Spring Semester, attaching their original transcript for all semesters. Students can submit a make-up application at the end of every Fall Semester, the rewards will be half of their tuition fees for one semester, they should submit their applications in the published period, attaching their original transcript for all semesters.
