Oriental Nilam College of Nursing and Health Sciences, formerly known as Nilam College of Nursing and Allied Health is a private college wholly owned by Loh Boon Siew Education Sdn. Bhd. We are located at the tranquil Klebang reclaimed land, next to Oriental Melaka Straits Medical Centre, a 300 bedded hospital with state-of-the-art medical technology. Having the hospital and nursing college under one umbrella certainly enhances training and learning of the students.

Oriental Nilam College of Nursing and Health Sciences was established out of realization that nurses are in demand not only in the country but globally. The college received its approval as an Institution of Higher Education with full accreditation status in 4th February 2004. The College has come a long way to be one of the leading Nursing colleges in the country offering various courses including Diploma in Nursing that graduated with a 100% passing rate in the Registration Examination of Nursing Board Malaysia with many of the graduates scoring distinction grades. We are proud to announce that the college have been awarded with an ‘Excellence College Award’ commemorated by Nursing Board Malaysia, Ministry of Health Malaysia for outstanding performance of our graduates.

Our new campus is fully equipped with up-to-date facilities to meet the teaching and learning requirements. In addition, we have in-house hostel facilities with a hostel supervisor to oversee students’ daily needs and welfare. We are well supported by home-grown lecturers and clinical instructors. Students are sent to both private and government hospital (such as Melaka General Hospital, and Oriental Melaka Straits Medical Centre) for clinical posting, so as to maximize their learning experience and hand-on practice in their training.

In line with the expansion plan the college is vigorously developing more health care programmes to meet the vision of the College as well as vision 2020. We train and equip nurses with knowledge and skills to enable them to function effectively, efficiently and professionally in fulfilling the ever changing health care needs of the country.

We are also pleased to inform that our graduates are readily employed by various Health Care organizations locally and abroad including Singapore and Arab Saudi.
