Established in 2017, Oriental Culinary Academy specializes in the art of Chinese Cuisine. Orient, is the historical term to refer to the Eastern World, which comprises of: China, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Thailand etc, which are notable representatives of the Eastern culinary culture. Since its founding, Oriental Culinary Academy strives to educate and nurture the next generation of Chinese Cuisine Chefs, to inherit and continue the culinary legacy of the Eastern World in Malaysia.
Oriental Culinary Academy’s Chinese Cuisine Programme is conducted by experienced chef instructors with an emphasis on practical learning, in order to help students to master the essence of Chinese cooking. Aside from practical learning, students can learn subjects such as food safety and hygiene, nutrition, cost management, restaurant management and more. Students can also experience operating a simulated Chinese restaurant, and apply their practical skills and knowledge in a 4-month on-job training programme in Chinese restaurants to establish the foundations in their career development and growth.
In collaboration with The Institute of Culinary Excellence (ICE), Australia, qualified students of Oriental Culinary Academy will be awarded a professional certification by ICE under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), upon completion. This certification proves that the quality of our student's technical skills and aptitude are widely recognized by the industry, further enhancing their career prospects and growth.
