NUS International Undergraduate Scholarship

Requirement
The NUS International Undergraduate Scholarship is offered to support exceptional international students from all countries (except Singapore) with outstanding achievements.

Candidates will be considered and shortlisted for the scholarship through their application for undergraduate admission to NUS. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to submit a scholarship application separately.
Apply
- All eligible students applying for undergraduate admission to NUS will be considered for this scholarship. Suitable applicants will be separately invited to submit a scholarship application. Invited applicants are required to submit records of their co-curricular activities and other achievements in the scholarship application.

ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship (AUS)

Requirement
Candidates must:
- Be citizens of an ASEAN* member country, excluding Singapore
- Have strong leadership qualities and potential
- Present good co-curricular activities records
- Possess outstanding high school results
- Be applying for admission to a full-time undergraduate degree programme at NUS

* ASEAN member countries: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam
Apply
- All eligible students applying for undergraduate admission to NUS will be considered. Shortlisted applicants will be informed to submit a scholarship application separately.
- Applicants will be assessed on their suitability for the scholarship, based on the strength of their applications and/or their performance in the scholarship selection interview(s), if shortlisted.
- Applicants shortlisted for the selection interview(s) will be informed via e-mail, and will be required to provide a submission furnishing their co-curricular activity and other achievements, and a personal statement, before the interview(s). Selection interviews will be conducted from January to June, and shortlisted candidates will be informed of the scholarship outcomes by mid-July.
- NUS reserves the right not to award any scholarship if there are no candidates of sufficient merit. The decision of the selection committee is final. Enquiries or disputes surrounding its decisions will not be entertained.

Science & Technology (S&T) Undergraduate Scholarship

Benefit
- Tuition fees (after MOE Tuition Grant Subsidy) and compulsory fees
- S$6,000 annual living allowance
- S$1,750 one-time computer allowance upon enrolment
- S$200 one-time settling-in allowance upon enrolment
- Annual accommodation allowance equivalent to the lowest double room rate for on-campus accommodation
- One-way air passage from home country to Singapore at the beginning of the course of study, and return air passage from Singapore to home country at the end of the course
Requirement
Candidates must:
- Be citizens of an Asian country or region, excluding Singapore
- Have strong leadership qualities and potential
- Present excellent co-curricular activities records
- Possess outstanding high school results
- Be applying for admission to a full-time undergraduate degree programme in Computing, Engineering or Science (excluding Pharmacy) at NUS

- All eligible students applying for undergraduate admission to NUS will be considered. Shortlisted applicants will be informed to submit a scholarship application separately.

Tuition Fee Loan

NUS Study Assistance Loan

Benefit
The loans are interest free. The repayment period depends on the value of the loans and varies from 3 to 5 years. Repayment can be in one lump sum or in fixed equal monthly installments commencing not later than 3 months after graduation.
Requirement
- Financially needy undergraduates who have been offered or are in receipt of the NUS Study Loan with the living allowance component and who incur accommodation expenses. Students who are offered the loan or existing recipients may appeal for a one-time top-up to their loan if they need further assistance with the purchase of a notebook, starting from AY2018/2019.
- Recipients of the ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship, NUS Merit Scholarship, NUS Faculty Scholarships, University Engineering Scholarship and such other scholarships which do not cover accommodation expenses are also eligible to apply for this loan.

Note: Undergraduates who are reading the Concurrent Degree Programmes are not eligible for the loan once they are charged graduate tuition fee.
Apply
- To be considered for the NUS Student Assistance Loan, you are required to apply for Financial Aid.
- A guarantor is required. He or she must be between 21 and 60 years old and is not a bankrupt. Only Singapore Citizen guarantors are acceptable for Singapore Citizen students; Singaporean/SPR guarantors are acceptable for SPR students and Singaporean/SPR/non-Singaporean guarantors are acceptable for international students.

Disbursement of Funds
Upon satisfactory compliance of all terms and conditions of the financial aid offer, the loan funds will be credited to the student's account by the Office of Finance around September each year. All fees due to the University will however be deducted from such proceeds prior to crediting.

* Monthly household per capita income refers to the total gross monthly income of all those living in the household divided by the number of people in the household.
