Introduction

National Changhua University of Education (NCUE), ranked as Taiwanese second largest university of teachers’ education, is positioned as a comprehensive university with seven colleges providing a full range of degree programs. Over the past four decades, NCUE has evolved into one of the top universities in the fields of vocational education, science education, counseling, language, and special education. With a balanced development of teaching and research, NCUE has garnered the Ministry of Education’s Teaching Excellence Project grant for over 10 consecutive years. Its rankings of paper citations and papers published in renowned indices are placed among the top nationally. NCUE’s location in central Taiwan provides considerable advantages for enhancing government-academia collaborations and rooting a stronghold with the local industries. NCUE has been devoting resources to facilitating the integration of international students by drawing on support from a wide range of expertise within the University. In 2017, NCUE was awarded by the MOE for its excellence in international student counseling.
