National Ilan University (NIU) is a comprehensive university. Currently NIU is home to the College of Bioresources, the College of Engineering, the College of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science and the College of Humanities and Management. The College of Engineering and the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of NIU are all accredited by Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET).
NIU provides interdisciplinary programs in biotechnology, health care, green technology, and the leisure industry, and cultivates cross-disciplinary ability for our students. Additionally, NIU also provides language-learning courses and practice training for our students to obtain extensive knowledge and skills.
NIU has cooperated with The University of Michigan-Dearborn, Michigan to have a 3+2 program since 2015 and has also extended to a 1+1 double master degree program. Since 2017, the College of Bioresources has cooperated with the University of British Columbia (UBC) to have 2+2 double bachelor degree program. The College of Humanities and Management has cooperated with the School of Economics & Management, Fuzhou University to have a double master degree program. Furthermore, since 2020, NIU has cooperated with SHMS, Switzerland to have 3+1、2+1+1、3+2 and overseas internship program. We have nearly 70 sister schools around the world, including schools from the USA, Canada, Australia, France, Poland, Ireland, Hungary, Russia, China, Korea, Japan, Thailand, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines.
