Introduction

With a heritage stretching back to 1821, Heriot-Watt University is the eighth oldest university in the UK and the world's first Mechanical Engineering college. The main campus is located in Edinburgh, Scotland, while the other two UK campuses are in the Scottish Borders and Orkney. The two international campuses are located in Malaysia and Dubai respectively.

Our taught programmes and research are informed by the needs of business and industry. We actively facilitate collaborations and partnerships, building strategic alliances and promoting knowledge transfer. The programmes are designed to ensure that students receive a relevant, career-orientated education.

Heriot-Watt University Malaysia's campus is based in the modern garden-city of Putrajaya which is just a 30-minute car ride away from Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur. Putrajaya is a growing, dynamic city and its proximity allows easy access to the extensive cultural, leisure and retail amenities of the buzzing metropolis.

Progression Scholarship

Requirement
Applies to:

• Foundation students who maintain A/70% average in their studies will be awarded a 35% progression scholarship in their first year undergraduate studies.

• Undergraduate students who maintain A/70% average in their studies will be awarded a 35% progression scholarship in the following year of their undergraduate studies. This scholarship is attainable for every year of their undergraduate studies as long as a A/70% average is met at the end of their academic year.

Scholarships with a fee waiver of 50% or 100% off total tuition fees are available for high achieving Malaysian students who have proof of financial hardship.
Requirement
For Malaysian students who are eligible for High Achiever's Scholarship (HAS) only. Scholarships with a fee waiver of 50% or 100% off total tuition fees are available for high achieving Malaysian students who have proof of financial hardship. The scholarships are available for students pursuing both Foundation and Undergraduate studies.

Students applying for the scholarship should have the following before going through an interview for a panel assessment:

• Excellent academic results (min. eligible for HAS)
• Proof of financial hardship

A fee waiver of 20% is granted to alumni of Heriot-Watt University who register for postgraduate programmes of study at Heriot-Watt University Malaysia.

(For Postgraduate Studies only) A fee waiver of 20% is granted to alumni of Heriot-Watt University who register for postgraduate programmes of study at Heriot-Watt University Malaysia. Requirement
The Heriot-Watt Corporate Postgraduate Partnership Bursary is a concession package for students who are applying to our postgraduate programmes in a group of more than 1 from the same company. This is applicable for local, international, part-time or full-time students.

How does it work?

• Up to 3 employees of the same organisation enrolling for any postgraduate programme within the same intake will be entitled for a 25% reduction of fees for all.
• 4 employees and above of the same organisation enrolling for any postgraduate programme within the same intake will increase the reduction of fees to be 30% for all.
