Introduction

Brunel University London is a global university that world’s students call Brunel home. The campus is based in Uxbridge, West London where the area located in the capital city but possesses a unique community feel. It has been established since 1966 from Brunel College to Brunel University and awarded the Royal Charter in the same year. The university is organised into three colleges known as Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences; Business, Arts and Social Sciences; and Health and Life sciences – and three major research institutes such as energy futures and environment, health and societies, and materials and manufacturing which offer undergraduate and postgraduate and research programmes.

Brunel University London is listed as the top place for studying sports, health and exercise sciences by QS World Rankings by Subject 2018. In addition, the university ranked in the top 300 for 11 subjects in the world, including Business and Management Studies, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering by Times Higher Education. Brunel has received a silver award by the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) panel.

As Brunel is a campus-based university, students are never more than 10 minutes away from halls of residence, social and sports facilities, lecture theatres, or the library. It is very convenient for international students as it is just 20 minutes away by car or 40 minutes by the tube to Heathrow Airport.
