About BIT

Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) is one of the most important and successful engineering universities in China. In the 2021 QS University World Ranking, BIT ranked 392th in the world, 88th in Asia and the top10 in science and engineering in China. In 2020 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), BIT ranked 201-300 in the world. It has been one of the key universities in China since its founding and the first batch of universities which has entered the national “211 Project”, “985 Project” and the “Top A World-class University”. BIT has a traditional focus on science and technology but developing into other areas such as management and humanities. By adopting an international education strategy, more and more international students choose to study in “BIT International Community”.
