Course Syllabus

Major Subjects
Year 1: Building Foundational Knowledge Core Courses: Introduction to Psychology, History of Psychology, Group Dynamics, Psychological Statistics, Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Psychology of Sex and Gender Learning Outcomes: Develop scientific thinking in psychology, gain proficiency in basic statistical tools, build a framework for analyzing group behavior, and apply theoretical knowledge to real-world case studies.

Year 2: Professional Development & Skill Application Core Courses: Introduction to Quantitative Research Methods, Introduction to Qualitative Research Methods, Positive Psychology, Consumer Psychology, Physiological Psychology, Personality Psychology, Adolescent Psychology, Psychology of Adulthood and Ageing, Health Psychology, Psychological Testing, Organizational/ Industrial Psychology, Cognitive Psychology Learning Outcomes: Design and conduct experiments proficiently, use psychological assessments effectively, understand and apply the biopsychosocial model, and enhance the ability to analyze complex psychological phenomena.

Year 3: Applied Integration & Ethical Practice Core Courses: Abnormal Psychology, Ethics in Psychology, Psychological Assessment, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Cross-Cultural Psychology, Psychology of Death and Dying, Forensic Psychology, Sport Psychology, Educational Psychology, Research Report Learning Outcomes: Independently conduct ethically approved psychological assessments, write academic papers that meet international standards, and apply psychological knowledge to solve real-world problems effectively.

Entry Requirement

• A pass in STPM with a minimum of Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in any 2 subjects, and credits in Mathematics, 1 science subject, and a pass in English at SPM level.
• UEC with at least credit in any 5 subjects inclusive of Mathematics, 1 science, and a pass in English.
• UEC with at least credit in any 5 subjects, and credit in Mathematics, 1 science, and a pass in English at SPM level.
• A Certificate in Matriculation or Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.00, and credit in Mathematics, 1 science, and a pass in English at SPM level.
• A Diploma in the relevant fields with at least CGPA of 2.00, and credit in Mathematics, 1 science, and a pass in English at SPM level.
• A Level / Other qualifications deemed equivalent by MQA.
