Entry Requirement

To enter Monash University, you must satisfy particular academic, English language and age requirements.

Meet the English language requirements of the University. The following English proficiency tests are accepted:

• Monash English
• Academic IELTS – Overall band score of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0.
• TOEFL iBT/TOEFL iBT Paper Edition – A total score of 79 with 12 in Listening, 13 in Reading, 21 in Writing
and 18 in Speaking
• Pearson Test of English (Academic) – Overall score of 58 with no Communicative Skills lower than 50
• C1 Advanced/C2 Proficiency – Overall score of 176 with no skill score lower than 169.
Tests must be taken within 24 months prior to course commencement

Depending on prior qualifications, you may receive entry-level credit (a form of block credit) which determines your point of entry the Master of Pharmaceutical Science:

Entry Level 1 (96 points to complete, 2 years full-time)

This entry point is available in semester one (February) only.
An Australian bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in pharmacy or science or biomedical science or engineering (in an appropriate discipline e.g. pharmaceutical, chemical, biomedical or materials) with at least a credit (60%) average.
Entry Level 2 (72 points to complete, 1.5 years full-time)

This entry point is available in semester two (July) only.
An Australian bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in pharmaceutical science with at least a credit (60%) average.
Entry Level 3 (48 points to complete, 1 year full-time)

This entry point is available in semester one (February) only.
An Australian bachelor honours degree (or equivalent) in pharmaceutical science with at least a distinction (70%) average
OR
An Australian bachelor honours double degree (or equivalent) in engineering and pharmaceutical science with at least a distinction (70%) average.
