The major has a history of more than 10 years and started to enroll undergraduate students in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in engineering. 2016 was approved as a specialty of service industry in
Fujian Province. The major of Fashion Design and Engineering is to cultivate senior professionals with theoretical knowledge and practical ability of fashion style design, garment structure design,
garment technology and garment management, who can engage in garment engineering technology, garment product development, garment marketing, garment brand management and operation, commodity
inspection and trade, garment theory research and publicity commentary in garment production and sales enterprises, garment research units, garment industry management departments, etc. In the past
ten years, the students have participated in the "Apparel Engineering" programme. Over the past ten years, students have participated in various professional events and won many awards, with a total
of 16 awards (including 3 at national level, 3 at provincial level and 10 at municipal level). Each year, students have been admitted to master's degree programmes at renowned domestic textile and
clothing universities, including Donghua University, Jiangnan University and Beijing Institute of Fashion.
