Conducted long-term research on soil erosion, soil erosion and vegetation succession, and vegetation restoration in degraded red soil areas in the typical red soil erosion zone in southern Changting,

screened degraded ecosystem restoration and reconstruction techniques for production application, and presided over the National Thirteenth Five-Year Plan for Science and Technology Support Project,

which provided important scientific and technological support for soil erosion control in Changting and formed the nationwide experience of soil erosion control in Changting, and achieved remarkable

control results.

Major Subjects

The programme focuses on the basic theories and applied technologies of soil erosion management in southern red soil areas, restoration and reconstruction of degraded mountain ecosystems, monitoring and management of crumbling hills, vegetation restoration of abandoned mines, and construction of coastal protection forests, etc. to develop human resources training, scientific research and social practice.
