This training area is mainly for graduates of civil engineering, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, bridge and tunnel engineering, disaster prevention and mitigation engineering and
protection engineering, engineering construction and management, engineering mechanics, port navigation and coastal engineering and other engineering-related majors.

Course Syllabus

Major Subjects
01 Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Engineering and Protection Engineering: The main research areas carried out in this area are: wind hazard assessment and protection of engineering structures, and disaster assessment and protection of marine civil engineering. It is based on the discipline of civil engineering and supported by the disciplines of mechanics and port, waterway and coastal engineering. It has the key laboratory of wind hazard and wind engineering in Fujian Province and the only water tank laboratory in Fujian Province.

02 Structural Engineering: The research area of this direction mainly includes concrete materials for marine environment and their structural durability and key technologies for concrete crack control in major projects. The research area relies on the Key Laboratory of Green Building Materials in Fujian Province and the Engineering Research Centre of Fujian Province for Structural Crack Control of Major Projects, focusing on promoting the output of high-level research results and engineering applications.

03 Bridge and Tunnel Engineering: (1) Theory and Application of Bridge Structure. Focusing on the technical application of modern bridge structure theory on cross-sea and cross-valley bridge projects in Fujian. Emphasis is placed on the research of complete sets of seamless bridge design and construction technologies, construction and control technologies for cross-sea bridges, and the promotion of new bridge applications. (2) New technologies for tunnel construction and monitoring. Combining with the characteristics of the mountainous and sea-facing environment in the southeast coastal region, research on the application of various modern tunnel construction methods and construction monitoring technologies, the application and process improvement of new composite engineering materials in marine environment tunnels, as well as the application and technical support of new engineering structure health monitoring technologies in tunnel engineering.
