The development of the cultural and creative industries, the innovation of new technologies and the involvement of new media have led visual design to break through traditional boundaries, from
one-dimensional to multi-dimensional, from static to dynamic, diverse and constantly enriched. Our specialisation covers advertising design, book design, packaging design, illustration design,
integrated corporate identity design, multimedia and web interaction design, video modelling, etc. The breadth of our specialisation and cross-fertilisation follows the current visual communication
approach of integrating old and new media and multi-presentation.
Our advertising design and production major was developed from the college's decoration design major, with a history of more than 30 years of development. 2002 became a national pilot of higher
vocational education reform by the Ministry of Education, and since 2004 has cooperated with the Jiangsu Vocational Appraisal Center to develop the advertising designer's question and paper database
and jointly build four national vocational qualification training and appraisal bases. 2008 became a national demonstration training base supported by the central financial administration of the
Ministry of Education. In 2010, we became a key construction major of the national backbone institutions, and in 2014, we completed the construction of excellent and received the investment of
"construction project of vocational education training base supported by the central financial administration", with 5,500 square meters of teaching area and 7,000 square meters of practical training
area. We implement studio-based project teaching, through thematic teaching, cross-border (cross-major, cross-direction, cross-curriculum, cross-country) cooperative teaching, in-depth integration of
projects and courses, while many industry company managers, design directors to come, domestic and foreign famous design masters to teach, greatly expanding our professional vision and practical
experience.
